Support
A little help getting your words where you want them.
For setup, account or licence help, email support@teamnebula.ai. Include your Blurt version, macOS version and what happened. Keep recordings, private text and licence keys out of public issue reports.
Get started on Mac
On Apple silicon, setup prepares an on-device transcription model when one is needed and shows download progress. You can choose a cloud provider with your own API key instead. Core dictation works without a Blurt account.
Open Settings and search for the control you need. The permission checks explain Microphone, Accessibility and Input Monitoring; where shown, drag the Blurt tile into the matching System Settings list so the grant applies to the running app.
Nothing appears when I dictate
- Put the cursor in a text field before using your configured dictation shortcut.
- Check that Microphone access is granted and your selected transcription model or provider is ready.
- Grant Accessibility for paste and Input Monitoring for hold-to-talk. If the app was replaced, macOS may need the permission entry refreshed.
- Check the result and dictation history. If recognition worked but paste did not, copy the transcript and paste it yourself.
Notes and meetings
Use Add by voice inside a note to insert speech into the document. Notes also supports typed Markdown and a canvas for arranging thoughts.
Meetings has Capture meeting and Capture settings. Missing microphone or call-audio permission is shown there. Automatic recording is off by default. If processing fails, keep the recoverable take and use the offered retry action before discarding it.
Hear agent replies
Live Blurt brings agent conversations and spoken replies together. Agent hooks or the local bridge connect supported tools. Choose your voice and provider in Settings; on-device and cloud voices have different data paths.
Where does my data go?
On-device transcription processes speech locally. Cloud engines receive the audio you send for recognition; cloud writing and voice providers receive the text needed for their features. Account sync, the leaderboard and diagnostics have separate behavior. Read Privacy for the defaults and controls.
Why isn't everything syncing?
Account services differ. The identity service supports learning profiles and the leaderboard. Transcript delivery and two-way note sync require a compatible content service. Signing in alone does not make those services available. Ordinary note sync follows sign-in where supported; meeting-note sync and transcript delivery have their own switches.
Licences and account requests
Open Licence & billing in Settings for activation. Mac checkout uses Whop. Contact support privately if a purchase or activation is not recognized; do not post the licence key publicly.
For account-data deletion, contact support@teamnebula.ai. Signing out stops account use on this Mac but does not remove server-held data.
Report a problem
Include the app version, your Mac and macOS version, the feature or provider involved, the steps you took, and what you expected. A screenshot with private content removed is useful. For recognition problems, include the model name and language without sharing confidential speech.
For Blurt for iPhone, include the iOS and app versions; its setup and permissions differ from Mac.
